Kepler-20f
Kepler-20f is an extrasolar planet orbiting the star Kepler-20 in the constellation of Lyra. It is the first confirmed Earth-sized planet orbiting a Sun-like star found by the Kepler Space Telescope.[1][2][3][4] The planet has a radius 1.03 times Earth's (1.03 terrestrial radii) and has a predicted equilibrium temperature of 800 °F (427 °C) based on an assumed albedo of 0.3.[5] It orbits its star at 10 million mi (16.1 million km), or nearer than Mercury orbits Sol.[5] The discovery of the planet demonstrated for the first time the ability of Kepler to observe Earth sized exoplanets.[1][2][3][4] The discovery of Kepler-20f[5] was announced with the discovery of another terrestrial-mass planet in the same system, Kepler-20e.[6]
