Keep It Natural
Keep It Natural is the debut album by American pop boyband Natural, released on September 23, 2002 on Sony BMG and Transcontinental Records in Germany. The album followed Lou Pearlman's boyband formula of bubblegum pop. Three of the thirteen songs on the album were cover versions, however, "Paradise" was written by the actual band members. Keep It Natural spawned four top forty singles and one airplay-only single. The album was released in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as well as Malaysia, Philippines, and Japan.
Censorship
For unknown reasons certain lyrics were changed from the album. "Put Your Arms Around Me" has the original chorus line of Come lay down beside me though for certain video versions it was changed to Always be beside me for an unknown reason, other lyrics such as 'I'll be here when the dawn meets the day' seem more risque then that particular line. The original version is featured on the album. On "I Count the Minutes" the original lyric performed during the FOX Family concert was as sung by J: My lips are hungry for the taste of you; I cant wait, cuz I live for the love that we make. When the album was released the lyric was changed to My heart is aching cuz I'm missing you; I cant wait, cuz I live for your love every day. No reason was given but it would be assumed it was less risque that way. It is unknown if the single version was changed or not.
