Katrina Sheena Smyth b. 1985, is a freelance visual artist and Co-Director of Catalyst Arts,[1] an artist-led contemporary art organisation based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Born in Belfast in 1985 Smyth studied a BA in Fine & Applied Arts at the University of Ulster,[2] Belfast, where she specialised in Sculpture.
In 2010 she won two awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland[3] and partook in a 6 week artist residency as part of the 2010 Berlin Biennale. In 2011 Smyth became an official member of the Belfast Print Workshops, Belfast. Smyth is currently a Co-Director at Catalyst Arts, Belfast, where she will work on the board for two years, until September 2013.
