Kastellokampos is a beach town located 7 km north of the downtown core of Patras in Achaea, Greece. It is part of the municipal unit of Rio. The population is between 2,000 and 3,000. It is connected with the road connecting the GR-8/E55 (Athens - Corinth - Patras) and Proasteio and Rio, it also connects direct with the old road via an underpass. The Charadros river flows to the south, the University of Patras is to the east along with the GR-8A/E55, the northernmost of the Patras Bypass and the older GR-8 and the GR-5 and the GR-48 northbound. Its length is 1 km from north to south and approximately 2 km from west to east, the Ionian Sea to the west and downtown Rio to the north. The OSE's SPAP rail line runs 20 m east of the main road.

Geography

The area was made up of olive and citrus groves and several forests until the 1980s. Kastellokampos borders on the Patras neighbourhood of Proasteio to the south. Streets are named after major Cyclades Islands.
