Kassassin (Arabic: القصاصين) is a village of Lower Egypt 22 miles (35 km) by rail, west of Ismailia on the Suez Canal. At this place, on 28 August and again on 9 September 1882 the British force operating against Urabi Pasha was attacked by the Egyptians. Both attacks were repulsed.
