Kasangadu (Tamil: காசாங்காடு கிராமம், English: Kasangadu Village) is a village located in Madukkur Town Panchayat, Pattukkottai taluk, Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu State, India.
The name from the wealth storage space of the king Musugundan who formed the community. Kasu in Tamil means money and kadu means forest. Kasangadu development was due in large part by R. Viswanathan who dedicated his life with support of aiya. Thambiaiya velalar(maniyar) and career to the village.
Kasangadu has two Government Primary schools and one Higher Secondary school. The sale of smoking items, drugs and alcohol is prohibited in the shops or elsewhere in the village. The village contains the Mariyamman, Ayyanar, Subramaniyar, and Muniyan Kovil temples. Kasangadu have a very well performed government schools both primary and secondary schools. More peoples have been settled in foreign countries like Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, United Kingdom, France, Australia, United States of America and few people have been spread almost all part of the world.
People from foreign countries were support to this village to create a good living environment and equipped infrastructure like temple,lake,roads,hospitals for human and vertinary, post office,library,jute factory and kalayana mandapam.

This supplies water for irrigation to part of the lands in Kasangadu. This is the biggest lake in this village. The origin of water for this lake is from Cauvery river from Kallannai.
