Kananga, Leyte

Kananga is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 42,866 people in 8,665 households.

Kananga was created in 1950 from the barrios of Lonoy, Kananga, Rizal, Tugbong, Montebello, Aguiting, Agayayan, Montealegre, Libungao, Naghalin, and Masarayag which all used to be part of Ormoc City.[1]
