Kamen Rider Meteor (仮面ライダーメテオ Kamen Raidā Meteo ) is a fictional character and secondary protagonist of the 2011-2012 Kamen Rider Series Kamen Rider Fourze. He makes his first appearance as a cameo in the film Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max, and later makes a full appearance in episode 16 of the television series.
While Kamen Rider Fourze's design motif is that of spacecraft, Kamen Rider Meteor's design motif is, as his name suggests, that of a meteoroid.[1]
Ryusei Sakuta (朔田 流星 Sakuta Ryūsei , portrayed by Ryo Yoshizawa) is a transfer student to Amanogawa High School from Bosei High School (昴星高校 Bōsei Kōkō ) who joins Gentaro's class and seeks to join the Kamen Rider Club.[2] Through his association with the Anti-Zodiarts Union (反ゾディアーツ同盟 Han Zodiātsu Dōmei ), he acquires the equipment to transform into Kamen Rider Meteor.[3]
He first appears in a post-credits scene of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max, defeating the remaining members of Foundation X before proclaiming that he is heading to AGHS. Soon after, in his Kamen Rider form, Ryusei makes his presence known when he helps Kamen Rider Fourze by driving the Libra Zodiarts off during the former's fight with the Perseus Zodiarts before taking his leave.
Like Kamen Rider Fourze, Kamen Rider Meteor's abilities arise from the Cosmic Energy (コズミックエナジー Kozumikku Enajī ) powered Astro Switches, with Kamen Rider Meteor using a single Meteor Switch (メテオスイッチ Meteo Suitchi ) with his Meteor Driver (メテオドライバー Meteo Doraibā ) transformation belt. He is also armed with a device called the Meteor Galaxy (メテオギャラクシー Meteo Gyarakushī ) on his right arm which has three switches, and is powered up even more by the Meteor Switch. Kamen Rider Meteor's bike is the Machine Meteorstar (マシンメテオスター Mashin Meteosutā ), which is itself designed to resemble an artificial satellite.[1][4][3]
