Kalistick is a software vendor company offering a software as a service solution dedicated to software testing of Java and C# /.Net applications.
Kalistick mixes two unique technologies: automatic software x-ray and test footprint recording to bring a new level of efficiency in testing activities.
Kalistick supports testers to identify the relevant test to be executed to cover the regression risks of any release. The platform discovers software changes to select the relevant test cases (manual or automatic) to be executed to cover the regression risks using its “Test Learning System”[4].
A test cases selection wizard helps to optimize test activities on business risks or technical risks. In addition to using dynamic test coverage, Kalistick provides a clear view of untested software changes and a risk assessment to avoid regressions that falls through the net of testing activities.
Kalistick supports test teams moving to agile software development with a clear visibility of what is in the build they have to test, what has been tested and what has to be tested.
At the end of each sprint, it provides a clear view of test coverage aggregating unit test, automatic test and manual test coverage to unveil untested features and regression risks.
Kalistick has a unique technology known as “Test Learning System”. When a test is executed, it records which part of the software is executed by this test, this is the test footprint[5].
At each release Kalistick x-rays the software to identify the relevant tests to be executed depending on modifications between two versions. By crossing this info with the recorded tests footprints, it can show up which tests are able to cover all the changes and functional impacts.
The software as a service application is built around a robust application programming interface and plugins. It integrates natively with more than 30 tools such as test management tools, unit testing frameworks, coverage tools, continuous integration servers, and source code management. Kalistick also delivers a universal connector that can be plugged in almost any tool[6].
Kalistick recently developed a specific integration for HP Quality Center[7] and HP QuickTest Professional (QTP). This allows QC users to plug the Test Learning System into QC and to act on their test strategies.
Kalistick provides several plugins for Atlassian tools like JIRA, Bamboo or GreenHopper.
Kalistick has signed partnerships with Sun,[8] and Microsoft.[9]
In 2008, birth of the company on the basis of research conducted in collaboration with public labs (INSA de Lyon).[10][11]
In 2009, first release of Kalistick platform and first success for Kalistick winning the contest "Les Assises" regarding security in software development.[12]
In 2010, Kalistick, winner of a French innovation price, is receiving 1M€ investment.[13][14] Kalistick also integrates a new functionality in the platform: the Test Relevancy Index.[15]
In 2011, Kalistick cloud-based platform has analyzed hundreds of customers’ applications, representing over 150 million of lines of code[16]
