Kalhan is a gotra of Jats found in India.
In the confederation of tribes called Puru, mentioned in the Rigveda, was Sanyati whose son was Virabhadra. Virabhadra had four sons, Ponbhadra, Kalhanbhadra, Atisurbhadra and Jakhbhadra, and Kalhanbhadra is the founder of the Kalhan gotra.
"Kalhan" Vyas was also the most popular political strategist in India during the 13th Century. He was later worshiped as a Lord by the descendants of the then King/Ruler.
