Kalabuda is situated about 65 k.m. fron Cuttack and 12 k.m. from Kendrapara town. This village is situated in the river bank of Chitroptala. Kalabuda(A), Kalabuda(B) and Kalabuda(C) wards are under this village.
Kalabuda, (literally means Art (Kala) and Buda (Hub) in Oriya) is named after Art and Crafts by local artisans.
There is a temple of Lord Shiva in the east side of the village. Besides that there is a Sun temple, Jagannath temple, Sani temple and a Mangala temple is situated in different parts of the village. There are two Ashrams in the village 1.Dadhichi Muni 2.Kahnei gosei present in the river bank.
All festivals are observed in the village. Dasahara, Baruni Mela and Sanimela are the main festifal.In this occasions many people from far way come here to celebrate these festivals. Besides these there are Ratha Jatra, Jagara, Kartika Purnima and all other festivals are observed here.
Most of the people in the village are Govt. service holder. Comparing to the past days there are very few people depending on cultivation.All type of people live here. Many students of this village are studying in different well known institutions.
There are a primary school,a high School are here and no difficulty in education. Medical facility,post office, fax facility, Internet facility available here. The Bridge in the village connecting Korua and Kalabuda is the main communication path in this area.
