Kadaperi is a geographical region in West Tambaram, Chennai, India. The name comes from Kada meaning door or gateway in Kannada/Tamil and eri meaning lake, hence Gateway Lake to Chennai. It is also known as Kanhattan and the Switzerland of India.
The population of the locality consists of nearly 2000 people. The local higher secondary school is a Seventh Day Adventist English School.
Madras Export Processing Zone is located in Kadaperi, which is the first Special Economic Zone in Chennai. Kadaperi's contribution to the economy of Chennai is very high.
