Kadammanitta is a village in Pathanamthitta District and is famous for its Religious Unity. Kadammanitta is blessed with three Christian Churchs & two Temples. Kadammanitta is well known all over the world by kadammanitta Devi Temple. Its located at a distance of 6 km from Pathanamthitta. The Annual temple Festival is held in the month of May/June. The Ten Day long Padayani Performances conducted as part of the Festival attract a lot of tourists. The ambiance during the festive season is unique in Kadammanitta. Padayani is conducted in the month of April during VishuNew Year. The most important day is the eight day when all the Kolams come to life. Kadammanitta is also famous for its rich heritage and tradition. Kadammanitta village is now being proposed as a Cultural Village Padayani Gramam by the state government.
Kadammanitta is also known for St. Johns Orthodox Church. The church has an old Church located near kadammanitta Junction, which is 170 Years old. St johns Catholic Church is well known by two Bishops from the church, His Excellency Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom,Metropolitan of Pathanamthitta diocese,Syro-Malankara Catholic Church and His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Mar Irenios, Auxiliary Bishop of Trivandrum, Syro-Malankara Catholic Church Churchs celebrates there Perunal Festival in the month of january, since both Catholic & Orthodox church are in the name of St. Johns, the Baptis of Jesus Christ, they celebrates there perunal on the same month. Youth Movements of all the three churchs are very active and serves for human welfare & charity.

Palli Perunal: There are three Christian Churches in Kadammanitta. St Johns Orthodox Church, St, Johns Catholic Church, & Marthoma Church. Both the Orthodox and catholic churchs are formed in the name of St johns, the baptist, both churchs celebrates Perunal on January of every Year. St. Johns orthodox Church celebrates its perunal on january of every year (makaram 5,6). Catholic Church its there perunal on January 5 and 6th of every year.
Padayani Padayani or Padeni in colloquial speech is one of the most colorful and spectacular folk arts associated with the festivals of certain temples in Southern Kerala (Alappuzha, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam). The word Padayani literally means military formations or rows of army, but in this folk art, a series of divine and semi-divine impersonations wearing huge masks or Kolams of different shapes, colors and designs painted on the stalks of arecanut fronds. The most important of the Kolams usually presented in a padayani performance are 'Bhairavi (Kali), Kolam (God of Death), Yakshi (Fairy), Pakshi (Bird) etc. The Kolam consists primarily of a huge head gear with many projections and devices with a mask for the face or a chest piece for cover the breast and abdomen of the performer.

Kadammanitta has a well established DYFI unit which has done many developmental activities. During the last decade Kadammanitta didn't have waiting-shed, for long years people used to stand in front of shop-verandas for catching the bus. By seeing these difficulties of people Kadammanitta DYFI unit took initiative to build up a well facilitated waiting-shed which was inaugurated before few months.
A mob was formed under the co-ordination of DYFI unit to the DTPC,(District Tourism Promotion Council) Pathanamthitta when the work of Kadammanitta Padayani Gramam was stopped, without a prior notice. By hearing this news itself the DTPC and PWD had arranged an urgent and confidential meeting with the DYFI Leaders and the officials of Padayani Gramam Project. The meeting came to an end with the decision that the will complete the project soon.
DYFI had devoloped a plan to conduct an hunger strike satyagraha in front of KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) office on 16 October, 2011.
DYFI unit have boycotted the road for 5 hours; have forced the KSEB to place the electric post and completed all the works in given time.
