KSVL
KSVL (92.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Smith, Nevada. The station is owned by Donegal Enterprises. It airs an oldies music format.[1]
The station was assigned the KSVL call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on September 24, 1999.[2]
Ownership
In March 2007, Lyon Broadcasters Inc. made a deal to buy KSVL from Donegal Inc.[3] James Foss, Lyon Broadcasters’ president, told the Northern Nevada Business Weekly that he planned to add local news and a talk show hosted by a local personality to the station's automated alternative rock format.
Construction permit
On December 10, 2007, the station was granted a construction permit by the FCC to relocate its transmitter slightly northwest to 38°41'09"N, 119°11'15"W. This would result in a minor lowering of the transmitter's height above average terrain to 629 meters (2065 feet). This permit expires on December 10, 2010.
