KQEQ (1210 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a World Ethnic (Hmong) format. Licensed to Fowler, California, USA, the station serves the Fresno area. The station is currently owned by New Wave Broadcasting, Inc..[1]
History
The station went on the air as KRGO on 1989-03-20. on 1995-04-01, the station changed its call sign to the KQEQ.[2] The radio usually has Laotian language and Hmong language programming to serve America's largest Hmong and Laotian community. On September 2010, it was announced on the radio that the station was going to change to KGED 1680 AM because Hmomg people wanted to listen it from far away. (eg. Bakersfield and San Francisco.)
