KNTE-FM (96.9 FM, "Baila 96.9 FM") is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish-language rhythmic oldies format. Licensed to El Campo, Texas, USA, it serves the Texas Gulf coast area. The station is currently owned by Liberman Broadcasting.
The station was assigned the KNTE-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on December 13, 2007.[1] The station was originally assigned a KIOX-FM call sign on November 15, 1990 before switching to KXGC-FM two weeks later on December 1, 1990. This change was also short-lived as the station switched back to KIOX-FM on February 4, 1991. The station would hold these call letters until the 2007 switch to the current KNTE-FM.
KNTE's format moved to KQQK Beaumont and KXGJ Bay City on January 3, 2010; on January 6, the station became "La Bonita." In November 2010, KNTE switched to "Baila."
