KLAK (97.5 FM) is a radio station mainly serving the "Texoma" region (North Texas/ Southern Oklahoma). It has an Adult Contemporary format with some oldies/"retro" content. Transmitter location: 33° 28' 30.00" N Latitude at 96° 26' 45.00" W Longitude.
KLAK started broadcasting on the 104.9 FM frequency on August 14, 1984, licensed to Denison, Texas. It moved to its present 97.5 FM frequency on May 12, 1987.
The call letters are a reference to nearby Lake Texoma. Unlike many radio stations in North Texas, KLAK has never changed call letters since it began broadcasting.
KLAK is the sister station to KMKT-FM 93.1 (Katy Country) and KMAD-FM 102.5 (Mad Rock 102.5); both based in Sherman, TX.
