KKEZ (94.5 FM, "Mix 94.5") is a radio station from Fort Dodge, Iowa with a Hot Adult Contemporary format. The station is programmed by Bobby Knight.
KKEZ flipped from beautiful music to Top 40 (CHR) as "Z-94" in 1979. In the early 1990s, the station changed to Hot Adult Contemporary as "Mix 94.5" until it went Soft Adult Contemporary in January 2009. On July 31, 2009, the station returned to a Top 40 (CHR) while keeping the "Mix 94.5" name. The Adult Contemporary format was moved to KXFT "Sunny 99.7", which previously was Top 40 (CHR) as "99X".
While Mix 94.5 is a Hot Adult Contemporary format playing a mix of hit music from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and today, it is a Top 40 (CHR) at night as it adds hip-hop and Rhythmic Contemporary product to its rotation, thus it could be considered an Adult Top 40.
