KINTEX, the Korea International Exhibition Center, is located in Goyang's West Ilsan District, South Korea. It is a three-storey building on a 224,800m² plot of land between Ilsan's central road, Chungangno, and the Han River. The building, which can hold 5 tons/m², opened on April 29, 2005. Shortly after opening, it hosted the 2005 Seoul Motor Show. With a total of 54,508m² of the first exhibition completed on September 2011, the KINTEX provides the 5th largest exhibition space in Asia.
