KIDR, 740 AM, is a Spanish Language news/talk station serving the Phoenix, Arizona, area. KIDR has been an affiliate of Radio AAHS (1992-1998), Beat Radio (1998) and Catholic Radio Network (1998-2000).
KIDR is owned by Force Broadcasting, LLC.[1]. The station was acquired from Multicultural Broadcasting in 2009 for $1.5M[2]. Radio Unica was the previous operator, selling to Multicultural in 2003 as part of a $150 million bankruptcy liquidation transaction. [3] [4].
Prior to becoming KIDR in late 1992[5], the station broadcast an easy listening format as KMEO ("Cameo").
