KHOW
KHOW (630 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a talk radio format to the Denver-Boulder, USA area. The station is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications and features programing from Westwood One, Premiere Radio Networks and ABC Radio.[1]
The station runs a talk format as a companion to sister station KOA, and features local hosts such as Peter Boyles, as well as syndicated shows including Tom Martino (based in Denver), The Glenn Beck Program, Laura Schlessinger, and Coast to Coast AM.
Cultural reference
The longtime morning team of "Hal & Charley" can be heard in the 1980 Stanley Kubrick film The Shining when one of the characters is attempting to reach the Overlook Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. The station is identified as "63 KHOW" during the sequence. A jingle from the "Class Action" package from JAM Creative Productions is also heard in scene.
