History

The station was first known as KKRR, starting on on 1997-10-06. On 1998-10-23, the station changed its call sign to the current KHOC.[3] Citing technical difficulties, the station, along with its five other sister stations went dark for a period of time in August of 2011. KVOC, KMLD, and KHOC remain silent as of December, 17, 2011. Other then equipment reasons, no further information as to why the three stations are off the air has been provided.[4]
