KAJR
KAJR is a 1.75 kW Class A commercial radio station licensed in Indian Wells, California, which broadcasts to the greater Coachella Valley and the Morongo Basin at 95.9 MHz. Originally a JACK-FM affiliate, KAJR airs a soft AC music format branded as "The Oasis" as of February 1, 2010.
The call letters are the initials of its owners, Art and Jeannie Rivkin. The fully automated station is located in the Palm Springs studios of RM Broadcasting, owner of KPLM, KJJZ and KMRJ.
Since the JACK-FM format called for no personalities and no local programming, there is no on-air studio at present. Local promotional content, local advertising and weekly public affairs programming are digitally recorded and produced by the KPLM on-air and production staff in the RM Broadcasting production department. From there, the content is uploaded to the local automation control system for playback.
