K56HW
K56HW is a low-power television station licensed to Rochester, Minnesota. It was most recently a repeater that broadcast programming from the Trinity Broadcasting Network, via satellite. The station broadcasts on UHF channel 56, with no digital signal currently on-the-air. From 1988-2002, the station was known as "K60DS" and was broadcast on channel 60.
On March 30, 2006, the station applied for a construction permit to begin converting operations to digital television. Upon completion, the station will broadcast at 15 kW on Channel 39 (K56HW's current channel will be removed at the end of analog broadcasting).
TBN took K56HW silent March 26, 2010 due to declining support, which has been attributed to the digital transition.[1][2] K56HW came back online on April 26, 2010.[3]
