Jurjevica is a village to the west of the town of Ribnica in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built outside the village to the northeast, is dedicated to the Holy Cross and belongs to the Ribnica parish. It dates to the 17th century. A series of fourteen roadisde chapels with the Stations of the Cross lead to the church along the road from the neighbouring village of Breže.[3]
