Julie Lofton is an American, New Media Social Entrepreneur.

Originally from Chicago, Julie became very involved in the entertainment industry from a young age performing with Ben Vereen, Steppenwolf Theatre, Northwestern University Cherubs, and Marlee Matlin’s Deaf Theatre Troup to name a few. Julie traded being in front of the camera for writing, producing and directing comedy, drama, and reality shows at NBC, Buena Vista, PBS, Animal Planet, and USA Networks. Julie has also had films shown as part of the official selection at the Chicago Film Festival.
Julie ran her own production company and non-profit organization simultaneously, winning awards for producing and directing, including her acclaimed internationally-distributed television program Best Friend Forgotten (Hosted by David Duchovny), which dealt with the problems of Pet Overpopulation.
Ms. Lofton is a regular panelist at film festivals, markets, and congresses,;[1] she created a film grant program,[2] and is a consultant for filmmakers, broadcasters, and philanthropists.[3]
