Julia Goodfellow

Professor Dame Julia Mary Goodfellow, DBE, FMedSci, FInstP (nee Lansdall, born 1 July 1951) is Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kent[1][2][3]

She completed her undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Bristol and completed a PhD in biophysics at the Open University Research Unit in Oxford. She began her career at Birkbeck College in 1995 as Professor of Biomolecular Science. [4] [5][6][7][8][9][10][11].

In 1972 she married Peter Goodfellow; they have one son and one daughter

In 2002 she was appointed CEO of the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, which funds scientific research projects at British universities.
