JoyTunes is a private Israeli company, established in 2008, publishing computer and video games that are controlled by musical instrument. Games are intended to teach music and encourage practice, by translating routine music skills exercises to a game played using the musical instrument via a microphone connected to the computer. As of September 2010 JoyTunes released one game - JoyTunes Recorder[1][2] - aimed to children for learning to play the recorder instrument.
On July 2010 JoyTunes was selected as a finalist in the global MassChallenge startup competition[3] . JoyTunes first product JoyTunes Recorder won the Fall 2010 Parents' Choice Awards in the software category [4].
