José Oscar "Turu" Flores (born 16 May 1971 in Buenos Aires) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as a striker, and the current assistant manager at Vélez Sársfield.
He started his professional career with Vélez Sársfield in his native country, winning seven titles during the club's successful 1990s era. He then spent the following eight years in Spain - 194 league games and 61 goals in both major levels, namely with Deportivo de La Coruña - and also played twice for the Argentine national team.

Flores started his career with Club Atlético Vélez Sársfield in 1990, going on to play a major part in the clubs most successful era in the mid 1990s. During his time at the club, he won three league titles, the 1994 Libertadores Cup, the Intercontinental Cup, the Interamerican Cup and the South American Supercup.
In 1996, Flores joined UD Las Palmas in the Spanish second division, for a then record sum spent by any club in that category, 550 million pesetas. He scored 21 goals in his second season, helping the Canary Islands outfit qualify for the promotion/relegation playoffs, eventually lost to Real Oviedo (3–4 on aggregate).
After his performances in the Canary Islands, Flores joined Deportivo de La Coruña also in the country, alongside teammate Manuel Pablo. He formed an efficient strikers partnership with Portuguese Pauleta first and Dutch Roy Makaay after, as the Galicians won the first league title in its history, in 2000.
Flores then played for Real Valladolid, RCD Mallorca and Ciudad de Murcia, with very little impact, before returning to Argentina in 2004, with Club Atlético Independiente.
In 2006, while at Club Atlético Aldosivi in the second level in his country, Flores announced his retirement from football, only to join FK Lyn in Norway in March 2007, being joined in that adventure by countryman Matías Almeyda.[1][2] While at Lyn, he only played 45 minutes of a first-round cup game,[3] and retired altogether shortly after.
In 2009, Flores returned to Vélez, being appointed Ricardo Gareca's assistant coach.[4]
