Jorges

Jorge Gonzalez-Graupera, also known by the stage name Jorges, is a singer-songwriter based out of Miami, Florida, USA. The music from his debut album, possibly now! has been featured in primetime American TV shows such as Summerland and One Tree Hill as well as various MTV shows such as My Sweet Sixteen and The Loop.

A multi-instrumentalist, who records all the parts in the JORGES recordings, he has also been a member of various bands over the years such as The Brand (2001–03), Warner Latin recording artists Volumen Cero (2004–05) and currently I Scream Records recording artists Guajiro (2005-current). He was a finalist in the Florida Grammy Showcase in November 2005 and opened dates on the 2006 Virgin Mega College Tour, a major tour alongside Yellowcard and Mae in March 2006. In April 2006 he was voted Best Performer in the 2006 Best of Miami New Times.[1] In November 2006 he appeared in New York City as part of the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon festival where he performed at the Rockwood Music Hall. He is currently starring in late summer of 2007, alongside Guajiro in a weekly MTVtres show called Rally MTV that was filmed in South America over the summer.

He is a Gibson endorsed artist and plays Gibson Thunderbird IV basses. At the start of 2007 he joined former Universal recording artist Alih Jey as the guitar player in her band and they went on to do the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin, Texas, in March 2007. His guitar work is featured in her forthcoming album Necia.
