Background

Jordan's father, Lee Mein, began operating a local promotion called Rumble in the Cage. It gave Jordan his first fighting opportunity and when he was just 11 years old he fought another local boy in a kickboxing match. That fight helped start Jordan's fighting career that has included kickboxing tournaments, jiu-jitsu competitions, amateur and professional MMA.[2]

MMA career

Jordan's first amateur fight came when he was 14, and he compiled a 6-1 record before turning pro. He turned professional in June 2006 at one of his father's Rumble in the Cage shows. Jordan started his career 3-4 but then went 19-3 since. He fought UFC veteran Josh Burkman at a Knockout Entertainment show in April. Jordan battled to a unanimous-decision victory for a fourth straight win.

Jordan fought Dream Welterweight Champion, Marius Žaromskis at Score Fighting Series on June 10, 2011. Jordan won the fight via unanimous decision to easily make it his biggest win of his career.[3]

Strikeforce

Mein signed a four-fight deal with Strikeforce in July 2011 and made his promotional debut at Strikeforce World Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov.[4]

Mein won his Strikeforce debut, defeating Evangelista Santos via TKO in the third round on September 10, 2011 at Strikeforce World Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov.

Mein has been scheduled to fight undefeated Tyron Woodley at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine.[5]
