Goodwin came into the spotlight when Cheating the Gallows, went wrong live on national television and he was hanged. He survived the incident, suffering only minor rope burns.[1] Goodwin has been buried alive,[2] locked inside a box with 50,000 bees wearing just his underwear, and sewn up inside a dead cow, among many other bizarre escapes.
Goodwin appeared as character/presenter Doc Damage in BBC Three's 2006 show The Indestructibles.[3]
He had a one off appearance on series 2 of Channel 4's Balls of Steel and also appeared on the show The Convention Crasher.
On April 14, 2008, Goodwin made his debut on American television with his own special One Way Out, on the Discovery Network. Goodwin attempted an escape from an office flooded with 22 tonnes of water. One Way Out returned to Discovery for a 10-part series that began on January 26, 2009.
