John "Johnny" Ward is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1960s and '70s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Castleford, and Salford, playing at Prop, or Hooker, i.e. number 8 or 10, or 9, during the era of contested scrums.

Johnny Ward won caps for England while at Castleford in 1969 against Wales, and France, while at Salford in 1970 against France, and won caps for Great Britain while at Castleford in 1963 against Australia, in 1964 against France (2 matches), and while at Salford in 1970 against New Zealand.[1]
Johnny Ward played Tighthead-Prop, i.e. number 10, in Castleford's 11-6 victory over Salford in the 1969 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 17 May 1969.[2]
Johnny Ward is a Tigers Hall Of Fame Inductee.[3]
