John Shearer Fletcher

John Shearer Fletcher (1888–1934) was a New Zealand Member of Parliament for Grey Lynn, in Auckland.

Member of Parliament

John Fletcher represented the Grey Lynn electorate in the New Zealand House of Representatives from 1928 to 1931.[1]

Independent

In the 1928 election John Fletcher defeated Fred Bartram for Grey Lynn, but at the 1931 contest he stood as an Independent and was defeated by John A Lee.[2]

John Shearer Fletcher was a member of New Zealand's prominent Fletcher family.[3] He was born in Scotland and came to New Zealand in 1916.[4]
