John Jagoe

The Rt Rev John Arthur Jagoe CB, CBE was the second Bishop of Bermuda. Born on 2 January 1889[1] and educated at Trinity College, Dublin[2], he was ordained in 1912[3]. A Chaplain to the British Armed Forces during World War I, he then began a long association with the RAF rising in time to be Chaplain-in-Chief[4] from 1944 to 1949 when he was elevated to the Episcopate. An Honorary Chaplain to the King[5], he died on 16 October 1962[6].
