John A. Cloud is a professor at the U.S. Naval War College and former ambassador for the United States of America to the Republic of Lithuania.[1]
He has completed bachelor studies in University of Connecticut in 1975, and a Masters in International Affairs in George Washington University in 1977. From February 28, 2005 to September 2, 2005 he was a US ambassador to Germany ad interim. From July 18, 2006 to July 7, 2009 he served as ambassador to Lithuania.[2]
He has a wife Mary Elizabeth and 2 children.[2][3]
