Joan Constance "Joanie" Bartels (born May 21, 1953, Dorchester, Massachusetts) is an American children's singer. Her 1985 album, Lullaby Magic, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1992.[1]
Early life
Bartels' father was a native of Southport, North Carolina and her mother was a native of Sharon, Massachusetts. She is of English, French, German, Scottish, Swiss and native American descent. She is a graduate of Natick High School.
She had her own recording company called Frog, and created Dreamland.
She was married in New Zealand, and officially moved to the country to stay with her recent husband.
