The discography of Australian R&B recording artist Jessica Mauboy, consists of two studio albums, one live album, eleven singles and eleven music videos. In 2006, Mauboy became the runner-up for the fourth season of Australian Idol.[1] Although she did not win the show, Mauboy subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia.[2] She then released her debut live album, The Journey in February 2007, which debuted at number four on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), for shipments of 35,000 units.[3][4] The album contained selected songs Mauboy performed as part of the top twelve on Idol.[5] Later that year, she joined the multi-platinum selling girl group Young Divas, before leaving the group in 2008 to resume her solo career.[6][7]
She then released her debut studio album, Been Waiting on 22 November 2008.[8] The album managed to peak at number eleven on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified double platinum for shipments of 140,000 units.[3][9] Been Waiting spent a total of fifty-nine weeks in the ARIA top fifty albums chart and became the second highest-selling Australian album of 2009.[10] Outside of Australia, the album peaked at number 138 on the Japanese Albums Chart.[11] Been Waiting spawned the hit single, "Burn", which became Mauboy's first number-one in Australia, and was eventually certified platinum.[3][12] "Running Back" which features American rapper Flo Rida, reached number three on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified double platinum by the ARIA.[3][13] It won the ARIA Award for "Highest-Selling Single" in 2009. Been Waiting also spawned three other singles, "Because", "Been Waiting" and "Up/Down".
In November 2010, Mauboy released her second studio album, Get 'Em Girls, which debuted at number six on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified gold in its first week of release.[3][9] The album's title track which features American rapper Snoop Dogg, was released as the first single from Get 'em Girls. It reached number nineteen on the ARIA Singles Chart.[3] The second single, "Saturday Night", which features American rapper Ludacris, reached number seven and certified double platinum.[3] As of December 2011, Mauboy has shipped over 910,000 units in Australia.[14] She achieved her first singles charting success outside of Australia in November 2011, when her song "Galaxy", featuring Stan Walker, reached number 38 on the New Zealand Singles Chart.[15]
