Jeremy Strong (born November 18, 1949) is a children's author. He has published 77 children's novels.[1][2] After an eventful childhood[3] Strong left school in 1968 and studied English at York University. He held various vacation jobs, including the infamous bakery where he put the jam in doughnuts. After university he became a junior school teacher[4] and also began his writing career. He left teaching in 1991 and has been writing full time ever since. He visits schools and festivals world wide. His story, THERE'S A VIKING IN MY BED was made into a BBC Children's TV series. A number of his books have won awards.[5]
