Jennifer Lopez is an American on-camera meteorologist for KXAS-TV and formerly for The Weather Channel.

Lopez graduated with a Bachelor of Science in telecommunications from the University of Florida in Gainesville.[1]
Lopez second degree was a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University in Tallahassee.[1] While attending Florida State, Lopez, like other meteorology students, practiced on-air forecasts on FSU Live, a student-run news and weather production on a Tallahassee cable channel.
Lopez is a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), where she holds the seal of approval in television.[1]
In September 1997, Lopez landed her first position as a weekend meteorologist for WTLV-TV in Jacksonville, Florida.[1] She was also a weather producer and weekend meteorologist at WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida.[1] In May 2000, Lopez joined The Weather Channel as on-camera meteorologist.[1]
On The Weather Channel, she provided live in-the-field coverage from New York City during the New Year’s Eve snowstorm of 2001. She became the co-host of the PM Edition until leaving the network on June 3, 2008.[1]
In June 2008, she became the weekday morning on-camera meteorologist for KXAS-TV in Dallas, Texas.[1]
