Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Jefferson Township covers an area of 53.12 square miles (137.6 km2); of this, 52.63 square miles (136.3 km2) (99.07 percent) is land and 0.49 square miles (1.3 km2) (0.92 percent) is water. The White River defines the township's north border, as well as the north border of Pike County.
