Jeff Pinkus

Jeff Pinkus is an American bassist, best known for his work with American punk band Butthole Surfers from 1986-1994.[1]

In 1990, he and Butthole Surfers lead vocalist Gibby Haynes released Digital Dump, the only album from their psychedelic house music side project, The Jackofficers.

Upon leaving the Surfers, Pinkus created the Austin trio Daddy Longhead with longtime Atlanta associate Jimbo Yongue on Guitar and Rey Washam on drums. After 10 years, Longhead retired, leaving Pinkus free to explore other projects including Skinny Leonard and Areola 51.

Pinkus has also accompanied Helios Creed on at least one release. His current band is Honky,[2] and as of January 2008 he has begun playing weekly on Monday night with an assortment of other musician called the "Git Down Syndrome" at the Jackelope on 6th Street in Austin, TX. Pinkus is also active within a band called "pure luck" in which he plays guitar, as opposed to bass.
