Javorovica is a village in the Gorjanci hills in the Šentjernej municipality in southeastern Slovenia. Its territory extends southwards right to the border with Croatia. The area was traditionally part of Lower Carniola. It is now included in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija statistical region.[2]
What used to be the chapel dedicated to Saint Oswald, has now been converted to a memorial to local fighters who lost their lives in the Gorjanci hills during the Second World War.[3]
