Les Jardins Dorval (called Dorval Gardens in English) is one of the oldest shopping centres in Quebec. It is situated in the Montreal suburb of Dorval, Quebec, and located on Dorval Avenue near Autoroute 20. It was built in 1954 by the Ivanhoe Corporation which remained its owner until 2001 when it sold the mall to Edgecombe Property Management.

Anchors of Jardins Dorval are The Bay, Zellers & Maxi. A Dollarama operated for a number of years before closing in late 2009. After a one year absence, Dollarama returned to the mall in the space of Pharmaprix which itself has relocated to Dollarama's former space.
There is a food court, with restaurants such as Scores and Pik-Nik. In the parking lot, there is a standalone structure (originally a full service St-Hubert BBQ and later a Canada Trust) regrouping the restaurants La Belle Province, Sushi Shop and Thai Express; all three are tenants of the mall. In 2001, Canada Trust became TD Canada Trust. TD Canada Trust relocated to a new standalone building in the mid-2000s near Jean Coutu, part of the adjacent Rond Point shopping centre. Dunkin' Donuts closed in 2008; the last Dunkin' Donuts location in the West Island closing. Today, Sushi Shop/Thai Express occupies the former Dunkin' Donuts site.
Anchors in 1954 were Morgan's and Steinberg's. Morgan's suffered a major fire in 1969 but was rebuilt afterwards; it became the Bay in 1972. A Pascal hardware store was added in 1985 after moving from the nearby strip mall. The Pascal store was closed and emptied on May 16, 1991. In 1992, the Steinberg grocery store became a Provigo which in turn became Maxi a year later. Pascal's former location became a Zellers in 1993.
On July 18, 2011, it was announced that Zellers will close in January 2012. [1] [2]
Walmart has assumed the Zellers lease at Les Jardins Dorval, located in Dorval, Quebec. Zellers will be closing in early 2012, when Walmart will take over the space and remodel the store. [3]
Jardins Dorval was originally built as a large L shaped strip mall which opened in 1954 under the name "Dorval Gardens".
Jardins Dorval became an enclosed mall in 1970 when it added glass in front of its sidewalk as well as a roof on top of this sidewalk; it was around this time that Steinberg and Morgan's added their indoor entrances (though the East and North sections of the mall were added only in 1985). In the 1970s, Jardins Dorval was surrounded with glass (save for Steinberg and the Bay). In 1985, the mall was fully renovated into how it is currently seen, doubling its number of stores.
The original part of the mall corresponds to what is currently South or West to the interconnecting walkway, including the spaces occupied today by Maxi and the Bay. What was added after the renovations is everything that is East or North to the walkway, as well as the walkway itself.
