Jamie Nell Colby is an American national news correspondent and anchor for Fox News Channel (FNC). She hosts America's News Headquarters along with Kelly Wright on Saturdays and Eric Shawn on Sundays.

She has worked for Fox News since July 2003 as National News Correspondent and Weekend Anchor.[1] Prior to joining FOX News Channel, Colby was a correspondent for CNN and served as an anchor and reporter for CBS News. She was also an anchor for WPIX/WB-11 New York, a reporter at WNYW FOX 5 New York, and a correspondent/co-anchor on FOX News' WebMD TV.[2]

Aside from her journalism career, Colby is an attorney and served in private practice for 10 years.[2] Her law practice began with a Hollywood entertainment firm that assigned her to the Tonight Show. At 22, she worked for Johnny Carson his contract renewal with NBC and his divorce.[3]

Personal

Attending the University of Miami International School of Business at age 14, she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting as well as her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law at age 22 (B.B.A. ’80, J.D. ’83).[4][5][3]

While waiting to take the Bar Examination, she was asked to fill in at a television station for an anchor who was on maternity leave. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to seek a future in Journalism, although she did later take and pass the bar. Colby is also a former law professor, a member of University of Miami Law Review and has been a National Board member of American Women in Radio and Television.[1]

Colby has authored a book with her husband, who is Chief of Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, which is where they reside. She has one child not counting her Yorkie.[6][1] Her brother is Miami Dade County Circuit Court Judge Jonathan T. Colby, presiding judge over some of Miami's most high profile criminal jury trials.
