Jack Read
Jack Read (born in Gloucester) was an English rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s, '30s and '40s who representative level played for rugby union (RU) Gloucestershire, and at representative level played for rugby league (RL) Rugby League XIII, and at club level for Oldham, playing at Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10. Jack Read made his début against Hull on 1 January 1926.
Challenge final appearances
Jack Read played in Oldham's 3-9 defeat to Swinton in the 1925-26 Challenge Cup final at Spotland Stadium, Rochdale, and the 26-7 victory over Swinton in the 1926-27 Challenge Cup final at Central Park, Wigan.

Jack Read is an Oldham Hall Of Fame Inductee.[1]
