Jabalpur Junction
Jabalpur Junction (Station Code : JBP), is an important railway junction station of Jabalpur City in Madhya Pradesh. It is the headquarters of West Central Railway. The station is sometimes called the Jabalpur main station. Jabalpur serves as the headquarters of the west central railway zone is one of the busiest railway stations in Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur being the second largest city of Madhya Pradesh and with no suburban railway system made the Britishers to build 10 different railway stations across the city to manage the railway traffic and passengers across the city. The Jabalpur station is one of the major station in the Mumbai-Howrah route(via Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Katni, Allahabad, Mughal Sarai, Dhanbad). The Station is located 7 km away from the city centre.

Connectivity
The Jabalpur Junction BG is a broad gauge station. Its route is connected with Katni to the north east, Itarsi to the south west. Jabalpur also has a narrow gauge service to Balaghat and Nagpur. The Railway Narrow Gauge line will be turned to Broad Gauge soon under the project named as Unigauge.
As of 2011, all trains to and from Jabalpur are hauled by Diesel locomotives, as the railway section between Katni and Itarsi is in the process of electrification.
