John Elwood "Davy" Davis was an American football player and coach in the United States.

Davis graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.[1] He played football for the Iowa Hawkeyes and was captain of the football team.[2]
Coach Davis spent time coaching in the high school ranks in Iowa from 1917 to 1919.[3]
Davis was the eight head football coach for the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes located in Salina, Kansas and he held that position for the 1920 season.
