Ivana Helsinki (styled IVANAhelsinki) is a Finnish fashion company, founded by designer Paola Suhonen and her sister Pirjo Suhonen in 1998. Paola's design ideology of aesthetic, genuine everyday-use fashion clothing has gained widestream support. IVANAhelsinki carries line of fashion clothes with reputation for Finnish hand labor, high quality materials, bright colors and in-house print designs. IVANAhelsinki's factory is in Lahti, with a flagship store in Helsinki.
In 2007, Ivana Helsinki was the first Finnish company ever to participate in the Paris fashion week.[1]
In 2010, Ivana Helsinki was sued by Ivana Trump for "trademark infringement, unfair competition and violations of privacy and publicity rights" for using her first name.[2] Noting that "Ivana" is Paola's middle name, Ivana Helsinki's lawyer stated that the company considers the claims "baseless" and will defend themselves in court.[2]
