Italian-Thai Industrial Company Limited (usually abbreviated Italthai Industrial Co., Ltd.) is a Thai industrial company established in 1964 that began in energy and transportation and has gradually ventured into other fields and has become a group of industries. For over 20 years it has been Thailand's leading wine and spirits importer as well as mineral water importer such as Perrier and Vittel but in 2006 it ventured into food, particularly potatoes.[1]
Italthai’s Transport Technology Division has been one of the most important suppliers to Thailand’s railway infrastructure for over 30 years and has arranged sales with the Royal State Railway of Thailand and the private industrial sector in the country providing machinery.[1]
The company is also a noted investor and developer in Thailand's infrastructure and development. For example in 1984 the company along with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group developed the River City Shopping Complex in Bangkok.[2]
